ANDREA THOMPSON is coming to our Sunday slam on Aug. 12! She has performed her poetry across North America and overseas. She is one of the pioneers of Slam poetry in Canada, and in 2005, her CD One was nominated for a Canadian Urban Music Award. Andrea’s writing has been included in magazines, literary journals and anthologies for over two decades, and featured in her collection, Eating the Seed. She is the co-editor of Other Tongues: Mixed Race Women Speak Out (Innana Publications.) Andrea is currently teaching Spoken Word through OCAD’s continuing studies, and is in the process of completing a novel for her MFA at the University of Guelph.

God, I am so sad that I missed this one too. I would have loved to be there. Lately, I have been facing some health problems and I am in a fight disease battle which I hope I will manage to win as soon as possible. I really don't want to miss anymore these events. If there was a way to better promote them..
