We're back with our open slams, poets!
This time, it's our annual ANYTHING GOES SLAM, which means it's time to break those rules.
Sunday May 4 @ the Drake Hotel, 1150 Queen St. W.
Poets can use costumes, bring props, play instruments, bring tracks for the soundman to play, perform covers, be wacky and creative and inventive!
Only rule we keep is the time limit...because we still want to finish at a decent hour
3 rounds. Clean slate scoring. Open mic available too.
7pm doors 730 signup 8 show.
$5 all night
Hosted by Alessandra Naccarato!
We're excited to feature one of the most talked-about sketch troupes in the city!
The Templeton Philharmonic (winners of "Best Comedy Duo" at L.A. Comedy Festival, and "Steam Whistle Producer's Pick" at Toronto Sketchfest) are a Canadian sketch comedy duo comprised of Gwynne Phillips and Briana Templeton. Their surreal brand of humour features hideous Edwardian dresses, stinging social commentary, and dead-pan interpretive dance.
See you on Sunday night, slam fans!
